The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was not retroactive.
The Fair Pay Act will help those folks effected after the signing of the bill but not those in the past such as Lilly.
Lilly even said so in her remarks on the day of the bill signing.

I was actually asked during a job interview if I was pregnant. Disgusting, isn't it?

5. I know that it was 78 but in the event you are asked that again...

(heaven forbids), turn it around and make it a positive (that is if you really want the job). Then on the other hand, it may say volumes about the company and may not be a place you want to work. But if you want to work for the company, you could respond by saying, "are you asking if I would let my family get in the way of my career"? And remember to smile.
