1. Every Health Care Professional I have spoken to...

And I have talked to doctors, nurses, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, pharmacists...you name it...knows the system is a horribly broken mess, expects huge changes, agrees with my assessment that within 5 years there will be a complete and radical change in the system, wants single-payer and they all are just as mad as can be at both the insurance companies and the hospital administrators and companies.

How there has not been a full-scale revolt by health care professionals I will never really know. We are talking white-hot fury out there.

5. Yep, my father recently quit his private practice as a psychologist

because he was completely fed up with dealing with the insurance companies. It had turned into a non-stop battle and his job was stressful enough to begin with, so enough was enough.

coming back at that reporter's tired old canard about the Canadian and British systems. I also wonder why they always ask about those two universal systems and ignore all the other systems that are working in other industrialized countries?
