Hannity assures his audience a few times in this piece that America has the best health Care, they used Fox News statistics instead of WHO stats.. I guess.

They also used bizarre "boing" sound effects, is this a new thing in Cable news?

Bah these clips drive me up the wall, who are Hannity's sponsors? (I assume lots of pharma companies)

Anyway, HT to Newshounds

1. "liberal bias" Mr. Hannity?
I'm sure you have no bias, now do you? What a fucking hypocrite. Now attacking the health care system is "un-American." What a fool.

2. Couldn't he do any better than that?
I've heard complaints about health care in the UK and Canada, but nothing to equal the travesties I've seen visited on my own self and family over the course of time here in the U. S. of A. I'm surprised that's all that Schmannity could throw at the good filmmaker.

4. Congress must begin the debate or lose their seats
Hannity is a true conservative. Protecting a corrupt industry by using scare tactics. Our system has been broke for a long time. Our health industry is allowed to discriminate, has created large sums of money through supplemental insurance, and rewards those who are dishonest by rejecting insurance claims. The pharmaceutical companies might be saving lives, but they are also causing death as well. Prescription drug abuse has skyrocketed, while doctors continue to be rewarded for filling out prescriptions. Congressional members are loyal to the industry and the media has become dependent on the advertising dollars. It is a pretty sad concept that allows for such profit over one's ill health. I feel the anger of most Americans over this subject and visualize universal coverage in our future. Congress must begin the debate, or get voted out of their seats. We need the change in order for our country to sustain life.

5. Me thinks
they have played the "un-American" card a few too many times. It is now apparently un-American to criticize the U.S. health care system. Tell that to the vets who have to deal with the V.A.

7. Hannity is a douche
Hannity is a douche, and many of his own points are incorrect or taking out of context.

For instance when he says the uninsured are only temporary he doesn't say that means years, he also says many could apply for medicaid but don't, when in truth it's not only very difficult to apply for medicaid, but there are quotas and even if you fit the need you might not get it. He also mentions that Hospitals are required to treat you, but the problem is that they do as minimal as possible at certain hospitals simply because of money reasons, hence the dumping on skid row of poor patients before they should be taken out of the hospital.

I could go on.

Sure Moore takes some liberties here and there, like calling healthcare 'free' repeatedly in these countries when it comes out of taxes, but that doesn't change the fact that every metric shows things here are worse. If our way was truly better, why wouldn't just a single other industrialized country have our same medical system?

8. High taxes in France?
Hmm, how much do they really differ?

Our personal income taxes range from 10-35% depending on income. Plus we pay 7.15% for FICA. We also have taxes on tobacco and alcohol.

They have a 13.55% payroll tax, 5.25% income tax, taxes on tobacco, alcohol and drug co. revenues.

I don't know the first thing about tax to be honest. It just doesn't seem that much different when you look at the difference in their health care and social services.

13. Cant answer that for France
But there is something called "Total Tax Quota" (hope i translated that right) which sums up all the taxes, fees, and so on that you pay to the State.
In the US its around 30 % if i am correct. In Austria where i live its about 42 %.

So yes, we do pay more taxes on average. On the other side : I dont have to worry about health insurance, i dont have to worry about college education and so on. So those 12 % more taxes that i pay are very well invested imho.

14. Forgot about that ...
One thing i forgot, if you work for a company and not self employed, you get 14 paychecks a year,
(12 months + holiday / christmas money) Those two are not taxed in any way.

15. Amazing that it's so much harder to leave the states
than it is to migrate here. I always thought it was the other way around, but I learned the hard way last year.

9. I've waited for months at a time to see doctors here in the states before.
Waiting is not something that only happens in countries that have universal health care. And, speaking of waiting, I know a lady from Canada that says it's only in certain parts of Canada that waiting periods are long, and that in many parts of Canada you don't have to wait. Anyone from Canada that can comment about this?
