corporations that exist for the purpose of profit. They are greed mills. Patient care is not the priority. Making money is the priority. It is so beyond my comprehension that so many Americans fail to understand this.

For decades they've been fed the line that only the free-market system works, while simultaneously being manipulated by images of poorly-lit, windowless halls, full of the moaning sick bleeding all over the floor, which is what we'd get under socialism. Furthermore, the level of education in the U.S. has been on a downward spiral for some time now. Many people lack the mental tools to sort through this issue.
