She isn't innocent and she could have done more sooner. But she did at least try at some point to get attention put on those above her who choreographed the torture. As much as she had a role, if she did not comply, they would have simply put someone else in her place who would. The bigger pictures that is beyond even this particular prison's scandal is that Rumsfeld, Cheney & Bush all see what is in clear terms examples of torture, as perfectly fine. All the GOP idiots running for prez except an otherwise useless John McCain also think these 'not really torture' 'interrogation' techniques are perfectly fine too. John makes the argument that torture confessions are not reliable as tortured people tell you what they think you want to hear so you leave them alone. What is amazing is this administration, and the 'more of the same' GOP idiots running think that is not true (except for John, who was actually tortured.) It's another case of hawks & cowards (all of them) never seeing combat, and thus having no idea how things work... And a confused, easily led, macho-bigoted bunch of Americans, many who never saw any combat, who would never send THEIR kids to Iraq but have yellow ribbons on the SUV they drive, loving the idea of any of 'those (brown) people' being tortured too. Until we get that 28% who think like that and still love Bush to wake up, this isn't going to stop. Even with a Dem commander & chief if we win, blackwater is ensuring a permanent Republican army. God help us, America is in trouble.
