Honestly I can not see how anyone that watches this video could ever say that Sarah Palin would EVER be qualified to hold a national office!

I would LOVE to hear what Barbara Walters thinks of what Palin said :)

1. I agree. Unfortunately the people who really NEED to see this video won't.
Have you seen the lines of dopes waiting to get their Palin book signed?

3. Yes...
It's ridiculous all those people standing in the cold and rain some with the KIDS that will probably be gettin' sick!
Loved it when I heard 300 people with wristbands didn't get their books signed, I hope that happens a few more times and then a bunch of Palinites and media will give her a black-eye (more than they did tonight) for her silly CAMPAIGN BUS TOUR - er Book Tour Bus tour ;)

9. There were hundreds of people at her event here in Columbus last night.
Specifically, hundreds of the whitest people you can find in the central Ohio area. Interestingly, the coverage in this morning's paper had quotes from various Palinbots in attendance about how "she's just like them" (which, alas, is probably true). Most cited her victimization as the main reason they like her, which strikes me as strange.

Tellingly, almost all of the attendees were people who live in the tiny rural towns in the Columbus hinterland and had driven considerable distances to glimpse their goddess. As with her other campaign stops, the video of the event shows an endless sea of white faces. Multi-culti she's not! She is the absolute epitome of the provincial, clueless country mouse. And how her fellow mice love to look at her!

5. Embarrassing is right !
The look on BW's face was a pretty clear indication of what she thought of Palin's answers.

Did you notice how puffed up and flattered SP was when BW told her that she had "a way with words" ?

I don't really think that was intended as a compliment!

8. I wouldn't object at all to SP getting her own Faux News gig
if it would take her focus off of running for President. Apparently, there are way too many Americans who did not learn anything during the Bushie years. :scared:

10. OMG I had no idea she was this bad.
I had my head in my hands throughout the Walters clip. How embarrassing! She is superficial, and fundamentally wrong on every point. She spews Hannity talking points word for word like she has borrowed his brain. (Hell, he's sure not using it.)

What an appalling woman.

11. Our nation is in serious trouble.
Edited on Sat Nov-21-09 09:22 AM by olegramps
When a significant minority would give this vacuous airhead any degree of credibility then you know that the end could be near. I can not help to think of Germany during the period following the end of WWI. Our country is experiencing serious economic problems as a result of having suffered under the worst administration in the history of the nation. It is during these times that extremist factions can gain a degree of credibility among the least discerning of society. Palin is little more than the tool of the evangelical right wingers who are employing fascistic tactics to split the citizens. These people along with the extreme cult that has taken over the leadership of the Catholic Church are determined to impose their religious doctrines on the entirety of society. I am convinced that they are such zealots that they wouldn't hesitate to justify a religious Gestapo if they succeed. Both elements are dominionists that are convinced that every problem would be solved if born again Christians dominated every facility of government and commerce. Perhaps their vision of total dominance is an impossibility, however there is no doubt that they have succeeded to having a powerful voice in determining policy in a number of issues.

15. Why not?
I'm guessing because he wasn't born over here? Drat.

Well how about we get Kucinich in the Oval Office and Cenk can become chief of staff?

I can dream, can't I?

14. I agree wholeheartedly with how Cenk describes the Palin Phenomenon: "Frightening"
Edited on Sat Nov-21-09 01:03 PM by quark219
Frightening because it is now clear that the average level of education about basic civics, basic economics, and basic world events in this country has hit such a low that this nation can no longer choose competent public officials. It's been a toxic blend of:
- increasingly out-of-reach, overpriced private education
- diminishing support for public education
- the death of journalism over the last 25 years
- the rise of very effective right-wing propaganda
- a culture that revels in celebrity and trivia and turns up its nose at real accomplishment
- a previous administration that for eight years celebrated "gut instinct" and "faith" and belittled reason.

And now this toxic stew is bringing us "Palin 2012." It's not a joke and it *is* frightening.
