I think a final nail just went into the coffin of Compassionate Conservatism.

My guess is that Obama's waiting to have his staff sort all this out. If his social secretary was at fault in any way, and the three Agents loose their jobs, my guess is that she'll be sent back packing to Chicago pretty damn quick.

She wasn't there to check the guest list.it has been sorted out apparently. I don't think the SS should take the fall for her.

I disagree. No matter who else as the White House was at fault, those Agents totally screwed up, and they'll probably be the first ones to admit it. Hopefully the SS Director will show a bit of compassion for them.

The only bad thing about this (from a certain perspective) is that Palin's main competition for the social conservatives in Iowa is now politically dead. I would have liked to have seen her and Huckabee beat one another up for a few months.
