1. My god, it's been 40 years..thanks for posting, more people need to know this story

I rented this a few months ago, but very clearly remember when it happened. Back when there were actual journalists in the mainstream press, the outrageous lies Fast Eddie Hanrahan and his assassination squad tried to get away with were exposed for the lies they were, but he never was convicted of anything if I recall. Just googled, hadn't realized he died this year. I'm sure Rove and Cheney drew inspiration from this, seeing that agents of the government can execute political enemies and get away with it.
