I was taken aback by how happy and cheerful those investors on CNBC look about the skyrocketing defense stocks after Obama's announcement. It reminds me of how there was a similar festive mood on Wall Street in the days and weeks following 9/11. you would think they were all celebrating New Year's or the 4th of July.

Basing our whole existence on accumulating random green pieces of paper with arbitrary numbers? Is this the best our species could come up with? This is it? this is the f*cking best that we could come up with?

Look at any part of your body and think this: Some of the atoms that make that part of your body were made in some old star... half a universe away, and in that start your atoms where right next to atoms of other people and other beings somewhere else. And your atoms travelled through billions of years and then for some reason our atoms collapsed into our solar sister, and our sun got us all together in this planet, and then your atoms had to be all over the place and wait all through evolution through lord knows where and part of what or whom.... to be able to be part of an evolved being which is SELF F*CKING AWARE. And this poor atom, who has gone through all this... this poor fella is now part of this poor human which belongs to a b*tch ass species of dolts.

Meanwhile, the other atoms you were with at the beginning... they drifted and became part of the most awesome species out there, and they are having the most f*cking awesome of a time doing lord knows what. And that pisses me off. And you know what will be the kicker, that those other awesome creatures are having such an awesome time, that they f*cking mastered space and time travel. And when they come to visit... can you imagine how f*cking embarrassing is going to be to have to explain ourselves? It will be like one of those reunions in which you have to endure all the other successful rich people and you were a no good f*ck up miserable failure instead, and you have to swallow your pride when you have to answer them the "what have you been up to?" questions... Or those family reunions where you have to endure your f*cking mr. perfect super successful ultra hot sibling competition.
