The Sunday night of the Honduran election, DUer rabs and I were listening/reading the LatAm media which was reporting a 30-35% turnout.

The next day, the golpistas announced a 60+ % turnout -- a bigger one than in the last Honduran election.

Since then, human rights orgs and other observers rejected the official numbers.

In response, the golpista government scaled back their claim to 49& -- and CNN promptly reported that as 56%.

This video shows the turnout in San Pedro de Sula, which iirc, is the second biggest city in Honduras.

2. Yep, just as all the corporate sources claim, it was a mighty affirmation of democracy in Honduras.

Hell, they were beating down the doors to get in there to vote for another oligarch who would continue rolling back the progress made on behalf of the majority of Hondurans by Zelaya. Or maybe NOT.

Maybe summermoonloon will give us her first hand account of how busy those polls were in San Pedro de Sula.
