1. And the rest?? I'll bet you that if 100 million tax records for the
average citizen were missing there would be no trouble finding them all, and I do mean all.

2. How in the Hell does one read 22M E-Mails to determine what's on them?

6. Scan them for keywords
Scan them for names and code names of key players and events.

Have a couple of hundred analysts pour over them for about a year.

16. You could scan 22 million emails for a keyword in about 6 minutes
Your complaint?

20. And then you'd get to read those million.

Who's complaining. The only thing that saves us from gov't invasion of privacy is the shear numbers of things that have to be read by whatever meathod of discrimination they may use to sort out the "good" stuff they think they got on us. In fact I highly reccomment every body put 'al Qieda', Osama', Allah Akbar' in every communication and bog the bitch down. The downside is that the opposite is true, also. Particularly if they go through any precaution at all. My sister was one of the thousand or so lawyers hired to go through Enron documents on thousands of cd disks in a discovery phase of just one of the civil suits. And they did not get to read everything in the time allotted to allow for speeddy trial. They were just looking at hundreds of thousand documents, not 22 million or its distilled still in the millions of documents. Don't be so snarky.

13. Those that say Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame probably number only in the
thousands. They can probably find some juicy stuff in just a few days.

9. Index all of the emails with Google or similar tool
22M e-mails is nothing compared to what Google indexes in a day. Likewise, the CIA has to scan many more messages in an hour to do their "job." Finding the good stuff in the will be no problem, just process them by any number of modern-day text tools.

Can't wait!

5. there is no justice, or even fairness in the USofA
I am so fed up w/this. these lying bastards should be in a goddamn prison rotting their lives away. we have voted for change, for someone to finally be held accountable for fucking lying and criminally fucking up everylastthing they touched. we heard the campaign slogans, looking back it sounds like a bad Steven Segal movie, no one is above the law, we were told. why aren't people in jail? why aren't there any courts looking at the enormity of evidence that clearly states that we have been lied to over and over again. our soldiers have died for these criminals, our standing in the world has been battered, our economy looted and we get the same old bullshit. now i see lieberman is going to make the spineless tools drop the medicare buy in, great - nice going Connecticut, thanks for this incredibly vile asshole. we need to clean house again in 2010 this time with a sandblaster to really remove the baked on scum. i hate getting suckered, again...

8. Is there any feeling more frustrating than watching yet another Republican Cabal "lose" mountains of
incredibly damning evidence? It's relieving that the emails were recovered, but judging by the way things seem to happen lately, I bet we'll be disappointed for a couple of reasons:

1) MSM won't really pay any heed to the emails, no matter how damning. In fact, the MSM will deliberately mislead, obscuring the truth whe things get particularly heated.

2) Nobody will be held accountable no matter what illegal activities are discussed in the emails. "We've got to look forward, not back, bla bla bla..."

I hope I'm wrong here, but we've seen some clear patterns of late, and such trends have a way of continuing.

12. *sigh*
Could they have portrayed this story any more blamelessly or passively? They are making what any thinking adult ought to know was a cover up sound merely like a series of technical glitches. Thank you Wolf Blitzer you lap dog for the corporate conservative establishment.

14. It's almost like CNN if afraid to sound like they are attacking the right in any way
real hard hitting journalism has been in the shitter for years now. And didn't they disappear right around the time the CIA outing occurred?

19. *bigger sigh*
Even if the emails did contain confessions from Bush, Cheney and the rest of the cabal, the administration would not be doing anything about it. It is not as though we don't already have a mountain of evidence to put these scumbags away for a good long time.
