The republicans are going to say no to anything in order to hurt Obama. Obama could have asked them to write the entire bill and they still would have voted no.

Are you trying to say we should be like the republicans? Democrats should want to vote "yes" regardless of the content of the bill just so Obama can get a win? If that's your reasoning then I disagree. Democrats should not be trying to follow the republican example. Democrats should strive to pass a real health care reform bill and if they have to use reconciliation to do it then that's what they have to do. If they have to pass nothing rather than pass a bill that's not real reform, then that's what they have to do.

Remember, republicans want this billl to be crap so they can use it to criticize democrats for the next 10 years. If democrats pass a bill that doesn't do anything to control the costs of health care then they are playing right into the republicans' hands.
