If you watch the video I posted you will see the MISSING ONE that C-Span found and RESTORED.
The McCain 'objection' to Sen DAYTON happened a few moments before McCain's objection to Sen. Byrd

I thought what C-Span found was the missing footage (McCain-Dayton) that Rachel talked about the other night, and acted out from the transcript with Kent. She didn't have it, but Tweety did, and it was posted here on DU. :-)

I thought that McCain had never seen an objection such as Franken made ever before in his years in the Senate... x(

13. I think you're a bit mixed up.

1) Tweety did NOT show the Dayton/McCain clip, Tweety had the McCain/Byrd clip and made it sound like that he was going to show the McCain/Dayton clip but he did not. The Dayton/McCain clip was never posted here on DU because it was missing.

2) The clip I posted was the Dayton/McCain clip that 'was missing' and Rachel acted out, then C-Span found it over the weekend after they saw Rachel's show, restored it, and then Rachel showed it in the video I posted up above as the OP on this thread.

So, there were two times that McCain said 'object': The first time was when he objected to giving Dayton more time (my video) and then a second time (in your video) when he objected to Byrd when Byrd was complaining about McCain's first objection.

Does that make sense now? :)

I appreciate the explanation. I think I posted the wrong thread. But when I found the one that I was looking for (now on page 2), I was unable to call it up, gave me a "fatal error" both last night and today... :shrug:

16. Well....

The 'restored' one was never here on DU before (only the McCain/Byrd clip) I've been watching video regarding this issue for a few days now and DU never had the Dayton/McCain part.

Btw, it couldn't have been on video before now because that part was blacked out in the C-Span archives and C-Span had to go back last weekend to the original VHS tapes and they digitized and transferred it to video.
