17. That Is the Real Obama
Obama has always been a politican who said what he needed to say to win. When I was looking for information on Obama during the primaries I found an article that claimed that was Obama's MO. He would campaign to whatever side of his opponent that he needed to campaign in order to win and then once elected he would do what he wanted to do. So, you are not seeing the real Obama.

7. I expected the outrage...
...to be based on his stealing mandates from Sen. Clinton's campaign, not in supporting mandates in the first place.

8. The reason many voted for him in the primary is because he was against Sen. Clinton's mandates.

Thus you being so quick to the ad hominems?

20. he tries to be all things to all people
A progressive to progressives
A centrist to centrists
A neocon to neocons

I think it's clear he's a combination of the latter two.

12. Maybe he was against mandates in the campaign ONLY because Hillary, his
opponent was for them. Wow, that sounds Republican. "If you're for it, I'm against it." Seems to be their approach.

18. People Were Against Mandates
I think Obama was against mandates during the primaries because people were against mandates. I think Obama took up the issue of mandates shortly after he won the Democratic nomination.
