2. Progressives are, by their nature...

are not attracted to political party. They are Freethinkers, the antithesis of party loyalists or of non-thinkers like the Palinistas.

Any party that wants progressive support has to represent progressive principles.

Obama is abandoning many people who voted for him, and it's only natural that those people will be reconsidering their support.

If flock behavior was the ideal, it would be "We the Sheople."

I'll go Obama's way as long as he's going my way.

I think that is an accurate account of what happens when you come into the presents of power.
Power convinced them that they needed to play the game the way it has always been played.
