Over 3.5 MILLION Texans voted for Obama in the 2008 election.
Obama won the cities/counties of DALLAS, HOUSTON, AUSTIN, SAN ANTONIO, EL PASO, and others. (Btw, the only large city that McCain won in Texas was Ft. Worth).
Texas is in the process of turning BLUE!
So when you say 'little Texas' you are not reflecting reality - only an imagined stereotype that lives in your mind!

We are transplants and we brought our "blueness" with us to Texas and have met many native Texans who share our views. Frankly there are many states part of which I like and parts I don't like politically or socially. It is a shame that some of the prettiest states physically are also some of the worst politically and socially. It is a disservice to progressivism to make broad statements of dismissal and disrespect. So I am happy you pointed out how Texas voted in the last election.
I will continue to make it bluer but hope never to see one or the other party position get as much dominance as we have had with the Republicans here and in Washington. It is not healthy to be the only show in town.

12. All the wild allegations

made back running up to the election are still embedded in the minds of these people. The one guy was just so certain President Obama didn't respect or love the flag, for example. Of course we can remember when they circulated pictures claiming Obama didn't place his hand on his heart during the pledge of allegiance.

That is why when these lies go unchallenged they do real and lasting damage. Those that claim doing away with the fairness doctrine doesn't matter are grossly misinformed.

I wish JUST ONCE one of these guerilla documentary camera men would ask them what exactly the Obama Administration or the Democratic Congressional leadership has done to try and take away their gun rights. They would have no answer other than "nothing, but he INTENDS to take our guns away....somehow..."

Why ask the question? Well, maybe it will help a few Democrats to realize they'll always be hated by the second amendment lobby no matter what they do or don't do, so they may as well do whatever they think is right for the country, rather than being afraid of the gun lobby and trying to appease them.

I for one would be very happy if Congress simply passed a national law that it's illegal to CONCEAL a fire arm. Anybody without a criminal record can own one, but concealing it is a major crime. You have to wear it out in the open like these people do. That wouldn't violate the second amendment, and it would only be criminals who carried concealed fire arms.

Not that I have much sympathy for a lot of these people. If Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam started a big, in your face public campaign to get all of their members to buy and carry guns, I seriously doubt any of these people would be standing up for them, and helping them with the effort to exercise their second amendment rights. They only boost gun ownership when it's members of their own tribe that are going to be armed.

10. Imagine if Bush had been threatened in this manner,

"We want our country back". I still have to hear what that exactly means. Do they mean a country where a ni**ger isn't president? That's probably the case. No one has tried to take their guns away. These people are nothing more than blowhards with guns. Obama is as far to the right as a President can get without being Republican, I don't understand how his portrayal as a socialist can still have traction even amongst the dumbest of our citizenry. If this isn't about Obama having a foreign-sounding name, being from Hawaii (which Republicans want everybody to forget is a state in the US) and being anything but white, then I don't know what it is about. A lot of people in this country think you need a passport to visit New Mexico. That should give you a clue as to who we are dealing with here.
