1. What the people who are screaming

it's cold, it's cold we don't have global warming are so so under informed. They dint' understand that the reason the cold and snow is sweeping further south is because the melting of the Arctic snow caps is changing the weather. If they had sense they would read about the changes that will take place. Global warming yes. But it is the weather changes that will hang us up.

therefore global warming MUST be a hoax engineered by Al Gore.

2. There is nothing like a week long

artic snap, followed by another one across the Midwest and into Florida, to open the eyes of those who say nothing is going wrong with Mother Nature due to the abuses of mankind.

All wars aside...if you mess with Mother Nature, I guarantee she will win.

3. K&R. Curbing climate destabilization was one of the reasons

I had big hopes for a 21st Century FDR. We need some very concerted efforts to curb our carbon emissions and a massive green jobs program could not only have helped our economy but also our planet.

The Third Way stuff is too old fashioned for these times. Too slow for the crises we face. The private sector has not done better on its own.

We can see that climatic destabilization is proceeding much more rapidly than those mild danger scenarios we used 20 years ago to give people hope that if we changed right away we could curb the damage. What's happening now is more like the scenarios we were encouraged not to use so as not to seem "too alarmist."

But here we are with people thinking we can move a tiny bit closer to doing things recommended decades ago and that will be enough, even as we are seeing accelerated warming melting and cracking up ice sheets we thought would last for decades longer. It is hard to understand how so many people can ignore the visible evidence and go 75% of full steam ahead and think that will be fine. Or are they nihilists who think it is too late now so let's just hurry off the cliff?

4. Sadly, the FOX watchers outnumber the Hartmann listeners.

7. I like that Dr. Hansen is now saying, "Climate Catastrophe" instead of climate change or

global warming. I expect in the next few years we will hear more and more that we have or soon will pass certain critical "tipping points," at which time it will be TOO LATE to stop significant warming. Goodbye, Miami, goodbye.
