Almost a year ago the inauguration of President Barack Obama was hailed as a turning point in US race relations. The country was said to be entering a new era of post-racial politics, on the path to a future of greater diversity and tolerance. But while crowds flocked to Washington to witness the swearing in, others were refusing to join the party. Racially motivated threats against Obama rose to new heights in the first months of his presidency, with the US seeing nine high-profile race killings in 2009. Meanwhile white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups claim their membership is growing and that visits to their websites are increasing. Filmmakers Rick Rowley and Jacquie Soohen went inside the white nationalist movement to investigate.

Thank you for the video. I only wish the media in this country would report on things like this. And I wish more people would realize that the extremely close connection between the tea partiers/conservatives & these racist, nationalists is NOT a coincidence.

are. Oh I don't use the N word in front of black folks so I aint racist type thinking. Chris Rock said it best,"all my black friends have all kinds of white friend's, all my white friends have 1 black friend". The sad thing is all these white folks are the cause of the job loss in the country, they are the ones who voted Reagan and the neo conservatives into office then backed his anti union policies. You can't fix this kind of stupid. Yes the conservatives are dangerous and need to be locked up in a max security prison to keep them from procreating more brain dead sheep.

3. I just finished watching this "must see" documentary and was about to post it

Well worth watching in full. It's a very good insight into how white supremacists and teabaggers are like conjoined twins with the same body but slightly different faces. The "conservatives" are going down the same route the resurgent KKK went down at the beginning of the last century and the use of the economic conditions to suck the ignorant masses into their base is reminiscent of the rise of the Nazi party in Germany.

4. Good video...

I run a small wedding ring business and I do engraving. I have more than one request in the last couple of months to engrave swastika's. Nothing like swastika's for Christmas... I was taken back by the first call, just told him I couldn't do it, the second guy I told to get lost.

but immigration has taken away good paying jobs. Many others have been outsourced too. This has left a group steaming mad and ready to take out all their frustrations on Latin groups and other minorities.

As Old Edward Abbey said and i quote (again): "Conservatives love their cheap labor and Liberals love their cheap cause. Neither group would have them (Latinos) live in their own homes".

That was in the early 1980's. Another prescient remark.

This doesn't excuse lynchings, beatings etc.. but we can't really expect much less from this group of morons.

Within the military. I guess servicemen/women can make an easy target as they have a deep sense of loyalty and i'm assuming they're more often than not from a poor/uneducated background.

A person with a good military record would be used by these people to legitimize their views, which would provide them with a way into the main stream.

This stuff has been going on since at least as far back as the mid 90s. The Southern Poverty Law Center is a good place to read about this activity and just how long and how much this crap has been going on. It's sickening.

We need to call out these hollow shells of humanity,every time we have an opportunity,everywhere , soulless idiots ,that is all they are they will end up in the fema camps for trying to overthrow the Gov..More likely a civil war would ensue.They make my skin crawl worse then the Tali ban.
