The Sea Shepherd news release at the time says the boats "collided" (not "the Steve Irwin rammed the Japanese ship," which would be more accurate and akin to his current language) and that essentially it was the Japanese fault because they were trying to run a "blockade."

Looks to me like the Japanese ship was well ahead of the Steve Irwin...not exactly running a "blockade," which implies it would be the fault of the Japanese.

13. I have always wondered about the blind, obsessive hatred

of organizations like PETA and Greenpeace. What motivates it? My theory is that it's defensive in its nature - the people venting their rage are actually venting their guilt, and their jealousy, because flawed though Mr. Watson may be, AT LEAST HE IS DOING SOMETHING.
