5. I bet Limbaugh has insurance...and damn good insurance at that....

Thing is, you don't have to send in a claim if you don't want to, you can pay out of pocket, and that's it.

I can almost guarantee that Limbaugh has insurance, he'd be an idiot if he didn't; $40,00 might be nothing for him, but if he wound up ICU/CCU for an extended period of time, the $700,000 to 1.5 million would burn him, and I doubt he'd just cut a check, or send a cigar box filled w/cash to cover the costs.

I cannot recall a instance where this gasbag has ever told the flat out truth...there is always a catch, a lie or obfuscation in there somewhere.

I didn't see him cough up a check during his press conference...something he would certainly make hay out of, if he actually paid out of pocket.


How much you want to bet he stiffs his "workers" out of insurance too...;)

7. He's a billionaire. He doesn't want OR need insurance

He's said repeatedly on his show that he doesn't have insurance - it's just "bureaucracy" to him.

It's easy to lead a "simple life" when you have no money worries at all.

8. Last I read, he was worth $371 million ...

that fluctuates though, as he is stocked up; which is why he mentions the stock market so often. He's got a lot invested in oil...another reason why his views on the environment are skewed.

To Limbaugh, nothing exists but wealth and it's accumulation. As far as "giving" goes, he gives right up to the penny where the tax breaks end. If he can't gain, he doesn't give.

Now all of this is his "right", but it's just that he panders to people who make just above the poverty line. He found his niche, he's gonna stay there.

Sometimes when I hear those I admire, like Cenk, KO, Rachel Maddow, Al Franken, dedicating air time to Rush Limbaugh and debunking his lies and outrageous statements, I think that we might be better off just ignoring the jerk. He seems to thrive on the exposure and the criticism (recently went off on David Schuster, who then reported on it today...), when he and his insane ranting really aren't worth our time. x(
