32,000 leading scientists signed
a petition against global warming?
Is that really true?
Well, no....
to get to the bottom of this crock , we'll have to go back in history, and meet someone who really was, at one time, a leading scientist.

1. is there an actual list of these scientists? you know, so we can cross-check against the oil

companies lobbyists?

3. What is funny about the OISM list is that most of the "scientists" on the list...

...are just professionals with no background in anything related to climate science.

I once randomly selected one of the names on the list, looked it up, and found that it belongs to an ophthalmologist: Hugh Berckmueller (http://www.ucomparehealthcare.com/drs/virginia/ophthalmology/Berckmueller_Hugh.html)

8. A Gynecologist in Philly was my first find

I looked at my home state and picked a "Dr" name that was very easy to look up in a Google search. Yes, a gynecologist in Philadelphia signed the petition and counts as an expert. After a few more searches I gave up because most were along the lines of general practitioner or veterinarian.

Is there a similar online petition that swears the moon is made of brie? I bet we could get more than 32,000.

5. They pulled this

same piece of misinformation in the "intelligent design" debate. There were all sorts of people on the list, but few, if any, biological scientists, paleontologists or those that understood evolution.

6. You know, I am a MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer)

....and 3 other Certifications...PLUS a degree in Music and minor in Physics ....which means that there are 18,324 other subjects that I don't know SHIT about. :) :)

After all, the climate is JUST LIKE it was when you were a kid, right?

I can't wait to hear how this winter's cold snap is proof Global WARMING is not happening. Because we all now there is no difference between weather and climate.
