The point of closing Gitmo is to stop jailing people for life without trials. It is to restore the rule of law. Just building "Gitmo in Illinois" isn't really doing anything.

I have been really expectant about Obama, as he is a Constitutional scholar, and the pick of Sotomayor was really quite inspired, I believe. However, this scholar in the White House may just have another agenda than most of us liberals. We certainly cannot dismiss his actions by excusing them as ignorance.
