playing Bruno Ron Silver?...Just wondering, because I remember that in real life (He died not long ago) life he supported Bush.

5. Yes, Ron Silver. He was very liberal his whole life

he only supported bush because he kind of went crazy after 9/11 and believed the whole "fight them over there" thing. I saw an interview he gave shortly before his death where he said he's a liberal independent (pro single payer HC, pro gay marriage, etc), and he voted for Obama in the election.

He was a good actor..Sad that he died young.

10. I worked with him in the theater...

He was fluent in Chinese and a ardent Zionist. I would say that where Israeli security was concerned he was a neo-con, and "crazy after 9/11" might only describe how his Zionism took priority over his social libertarian leadership of the Actor's Equity Association. I had a good personal relationship with the man and miss him. But I virulently disagreed with his position on almost everything related to national security from 9/12 onward.

I also was led to believe that he had been called on by the state department to fill some diplomatic roles where China was concerned. The man was very bright and may have had roles that he played in government as well as on Stage/Film/Television.

I had been called to help revive a one-man show of his for a possible broadway or off-broadway run just weeks before his death. Rest in Peace Ron.
