I just noticed Pat Robertson babbled about "Napoleon III" somehow playing into the story. Which is quite remarkable given that Haiti declared its independence in what, 1804 - and Napoleon III was *born* in 1808!

Another "truth" people don't want to hear about, Pat? - That Napoleon III was a time traveler as well as oppressor of the Haitian people? Hey, it's at least as believable as the pact-with-Satan bullshit...

Wow, stunning. Most people in the DR are so poor they live in houses made of sugar cane stalks. There are no jobs for Dominicans there because they import Haitians to work for 75 cents a day. There are slave labor communities called, 'batay's' where Haitians live out their whole lives working in the sugar cane.
