5. Baker is an idiot...

talk about getting your ass bit! I think mr. baker walked into this interview thinking he was going to "teach Thom Hartmann a thing or two", and Thom ran circles around the fool. His points were "pointless". What an ass hat. "Libertarians hate the Fed". .....well, woopdy-do. Quite frankly, libertarians hate everything about government. They need to be air lifted to some shit hole island and left to fend for themselves. It's what they think the rest of us should be doing.

7. ok, this is totally off topic but I'm pretty disgusted with Hartmann.

The day before the MA election, there was barely a word about the
forthcoming acopalypse---the election of Brown.

What a waste of precious airtime. He could have been hammering home
how destructive Brown's election would be to the democratic agenda.

Barely a word about it.

The day of the last-minute threatened filibuster of Alito, almost every Air America host had a total media blackout on it.

Randi Rhodes spent the first 5 segments talking about her encounter with Joan Rivers that day. You can confirm this at the White Rose Society archives.

Hartmann could end all argument about "socialism" with one statement: our Interstate Freeway System is pure socialism, and without it the economy would collapse. End of argument.

Thom's show is never "live" in almost any sense. It could be canned from day to day. The worst radio ever.

10. I got through to one guy about 'socialism" using the interstate analogy

all though I suspect that he'd still vote for whomever is on the RW ticket (he has a McCain/Pain sticker on back window).

And I asked that very question: Whats so bad about it. Named the interstate and more. Explained corporate person hood and how once we get rid of that and campaign reform we could get our country back - in the meantime we *really* should make the polititions where suits like they do in Nascar, that way we know who sponsors them. *sigh*

It was nice getting through to someone for a change (mind you his conspiracy, he's a mechanic and a damn good one, is that globalism started with the metric system - that it was some commie plot. I was like....sigh...no...it's just a standardized simple system.)
