I hope we can get these things done. Actions speak louder than words.

4. I refuse to watch the speech
Because I know I will be inspired and believe in him because he has that talent. Then I will be heartbroken when he caves to the GOP on all of his promises like he has done so far. The work is dead the cause is dead hope is foolish and the dream is over.

I am sorry to use Ted Kennedy's imortal words this way. But if Ted Kennedy's could not get healthcare for all after 46 years of working his heart out. Obama certainly won't be able to it.

10. The fact that he is so intelligent
is what makes some of his policies disappointing. If President Obama is pressing the reset button with his SOTU, then I am willing to do the same. There were many great ideas in the speech, I am willing to give him another chance to deliver.

8. Thanks for putting thelinks up for everyone
I have been and remain both an Obama supporter and critic.

It was a great speech, but President Obama is a great speaker. I did appreciate him putting both the Congressional Republicans and SCOTUS in their places.

But now remains to be sean whether he can turn a great speech into the leadership necessary to make the words into reality.

Our future depends on his short- and long-term success, as does my support for Democratic candidates in 2010 and 2012.

12. he's so positive
and yet a bit naive. Republicans prefer a divided country. Some might be swayed but the dogs in the party will rein them back in.
I hope he has learned a few things in his short time. It's hardball not chess he has to use. Power is a hungry animal. Rahm Emanuel
should be kept on a leash. He has the skills just the wrong advisors.
