1. Why is this surprising to anyone? Isn't it clear that if Obama cured cancer, ended world hunger, and

stopped global warming the right wing still wouldn't applaud him. They have chosen the path of complete obstructionism, so lets stop trying to pretend that its simply a polite disagreement on a political philosophy or issue. Its the fact that Obama is president that makes them so angry, not taxes or any other issue. I think last year there was ample proof they do not want to discuss, debate, negociate, or work towards anything at all with this President. We saw that with Healthcare trying to negociate with obstructionists only hurt us in the end.

When you go to greet someone and all they do is spit on your hand its perfectly acceptable to stop being polite to them. This is what drives me crazy about the left, their obcession to be liked by everyone including the-lower-than-life pond-scum in the GOP.

Enough already! Tell the GOP to f*** themselves and move on.

2. They Don't Want any Success Unless They Are in Power
Imagine what a Democratic success looks like on election day. They don't care about their constituents, only their constituets' votes.

6. Precisely the point I would have made had you not made it first
That's why I try to read other people's comments before I post :)

4. Exactly. Proof positive that Mr. Obama should quit pandering to the right.

It's a waste of precious time and money.

We already know the Rethugs and the Blue Dogs will not agree, so act accordingly and move on.

5. rhetoric
And what's this with the commie-pinko "people's house" and the "people's seat?" Up is down, black is white and repugs are reshaping the narrative again, this time stealing socialist rhetoric.

7. It goes counter to the right-wing mantra:
which is, "Obama wants to raise taxes on working middle-class families". If they had applauded the tax cuts, the GOP would be acknowledging that they'd been lying about his intentions all along. Of course the national audience watching their muted non-response must have wondered why they didn't bother to voice approval to the tax cuts.

8. and that's why Obama pointed it out
he wasn't just kidding around, getting some laughs, he was doing some pretty smart strategy.

Hopefully that clip is being played on TV due to the humorousness of it, but it gets a pretty strong message across as well.

9. Tax cuts wrong thing to do!
US are almost bankrupt, tax cuts are the last thing US need.

US need raise the taxes on low- and middle class.

and to start invest big time in healthcare, education, childcare, wealthfare, science, infrastructure, public transport, environment.

... and to start paying off the national debt.
