3. Repukes get TRANSPARENCY & Obama lands foot deep into Repuklicans' ass.
and the Repuklican Caucus leaves with hind quarters bleeding badly.

OB so took these assholes downtown- on every question.
From Pences's "boutique" tax deduction smear to all the wingnut talking points: smiling and pushing back on all the crap questions.

Half of the questions were from Teabagger_Confederates: Fucking embarrassing!

The repukes may not know it, but they got so served.

and he said anyone can check the facts. You think one of the talking heads like Wolf Shitzer or the a---holes at Faux or any network will bother checking the facts? If anything they will just play the "you lie" line out of context over and over we won't hear what either one said and nobody will check the facts.

11. Politifact.com is fact checking the facts from the GOP retreat

Quote:

Fact-checking Obama and Republicans at GOP retreat

President Barack Obama's meeting with Congressional Republicans in Baltimore on Friday provided a remarkable glimpse into relations between the president and the GOP.

Republicans complained that Obama and the Democratic leadership hadn't taken a serious look at their policy proposals. Obama complained that Republicans were often more focused on scoring political points than in solving problems.

Obama challenged their facts and, during an exchange with Rep. Jeb Hensarling, said, "I am happy to have any independent factchecker out there take a look at your presentation versus mine in terms of the accuracy of what I just said."

We accept. We're examining claims by the president and the Republicans and will be publishing a couple of them shortly. Stay tuned.

So when Adair is on CNN they'll discuss the GOP retreat facts ;)

4. This The 3rd Time Now
These rethugs have shown that they do not respect him neither do they intend to change from their ways and yet I keep wondering why Obama and the weak kneed Democrats still try to appease them with this bipartisanship nonsense. Democrats get a clue - these rethugs are not going to give you a break in anyway whatsoever!

7. I liked how President Obama
stayed quiet for 2 l o n g seconds....

....so as to let everyone know and "feel" the resonance (the intensification and enriching)
voice that permeated that room.

Brilliant!

I would have the same position if it was a Dem Rep. saying "you're lying" to Boosh. Seriously. Sit here on DU and be "rude" all day if you want but I expect more than from our elected Representatives (Dem or Rep).

14. Me too!
I even jumped up in down with joy over what that brave guy did. I hear he's a folk hero now in the Middle East and he should be. The only thing that shocked me was Bush's reflexes. I gotta admit that he reacted impressively. Maybe he's used to Laura throwing things at him?

20. Didn't think I needed the sarcasm tag.
I have not seen ever seen a President treated so rude and disrespectful. So, it seems to me that many believe it's OK to be disrespectful to President Obama. Free speech is their justification.

13. Oh really?
Yeah, just like with bush where they only let in the right wing religionist neocon nutjobs to hear his 'pearls of wisdom'.
Nope, sorry but I KNOW the type - it's because of his race plain and simple. They would NEVER have the gonads to try that crap
with others like bush, cheney, McCain, et. al.

17. That's not what he said...damn it anyway!
As much as I would love for the GOP to have continued its "You lie" heritage during the confab between Obama and the Republican House members today, it didn't happen.

On the tape, particularly if played in fuller context, the President is saying he'd welcome third-party fact checkers to examine his and his opponents' budget numbers, and the GOP congress member says he would, too.

Specifically, Obama says, "I am happy to have any independent fact checker out there take a look...." to which the GOPer responds, "As am I, Mr. President."

"I am happy..." "As am I."

It's fun to slam 'em when we can; but let's stay on the bright side of the truth.
