1. Good Job Rachel!
Pass this video on to other people.

It is amazing how well she explained it.

3. So... while they are voting against their own policies we are voting for theirs.
Great piece but the underlying message to us is that our President and our Party is supporting Repub policies.

It's rather sad. Sad that we have moved so far to the right that endorsing Republican policies are now seen as a victory for Democrats.

4. This is how the "bipartisan" strategy works, forcing Republicans to self marginalize
I'm a little surprised it took the White House a whole year to come up with this. Now, if they do anything even remotely sane, they piss off their base. It's a clever strategy, but not one without some long term downsides--like an enlarged Republican insanity base--note the new Daily Kos poll coming out today that shows fully 2/3s of self identified Republicans are birthers, now.

8. I agree
Seems like they've sprung the trap they set themselves. They'll be eating their own soon and there's already a huge amount of material for hard hitting "party of no" ads.

5. Republicans are only in favor of upper class tax cuts.
They are not interested in cutting taxes on the working class.

7. Rachel Maddow is a National Treasure
Republicans are a National Disgrace.

These people love their country? The GOP will have us all standing in breadlines soon as a way to vault themselves back in to power. And someone needs to smack supposed moderate Olympia Snowe right upside the head. I hope she enjoyed mucking up health care reform. The cost of premiums went up 20-30% in the state of Maine while she was playing politics.

11. Unfortunately most GOPers are in such a state of denial/partisanship
that marginalizing their own ideas, makes perfect sense to them. That was then, this is now never rang more true than with this Republican party.
