Background: While Cenk was interviewing Jesse Ventura Monday about his new book on conspiracies, Ventura claimed that MSNBC tried to shut him up by buying out his contract (he wasn't to host anything or talk about it for the next three years). I'd love to get her perspective, too, of course. She says they wouldn't let her out of the contract after that so she could go work somewhere else and literally moved her office into a closet.

It's nearly impossible for us that weren't there to figure out the micro details of what happened. But you also acknowledge the macro picture of MS going further right. Did those macro considerations wind up having at least subtle effects on the micro decisions? It would be hard to see how they didn't, or why they wouldn't.

But either way, it's a relief to have the other side of the story. What's that old saying about having one side of the story is worse than not having any side at all? So, thanks for providing the other side of what happened. Very instructive.

14. I'm a fan of everyone involved, but, having seen Ventura's TRU network show,

Olbermann's version seems most likely.

I would like to see a show something like "Meet the Sentient Folks" with Jesse as a questioner and Cenk and Rachel too. It would be fun. Wouldn't see much of Gregory or Tweety there.
