Fact that Schwarzenegger has never made any bones about his own dope use,a nd is not at all opposed to legalizing Calif.'s main crop.
We have already had local initiatives by which growers can obtain local city or town tax stamps for their products, and that seemed like a good way to boost our economy.
But alas, Ahnold will be retiring soon. And Meg Whitman and Di Fi, both of them basically snooty, anti drug, anti marijuana old women will be vying for the Governorship.
Di Fi has carefully, over the last decade, made sure that no one of any stature with the Big D after their name has run for the office, (I mean who today even who remembers Bustamante or Phil Angelides, both of whom lost to Ahnold during the last two gubernatorial elections?) Going through her manipulations, Di Fi has hoped to ensure that she will secure the office for herself. (You cannot run for any office with the Big "D" after your name, in any of the various Bay Area neighborhoods, unless you get her approval. She has very much controlled the party, so that the creative people now all run as Greens.)
And who here really thinks we would get Brown? Also, he is somewhat of a large gas bag at this point, rather consumed by his own ego. As he has gotten older, he is at least as conservative as Di Fi or Whitman. I guess he feels he must present a great many conservative policies to make it seem like he has a shot at the more RW person's vote.
Anyway personally I have too much on my plate to care any more. I will be setting up my own mom and pop insurance company, that will charge people a mere $ 1 for their entire annual health insurance premiums for families up to five in number.
For that one dollar, we will be able to deny you just as many services as the Big Insurers do. And so you get what you have come to expect, we will obfusacate and lie as well. But at least the consumer will comply with the mandates, and save money as well!
