NBC Late Night w/ JIMMY FALLON - 10 March 2010: Fallon: "Never Give Michael Moore a Bullhorn, he almost started a riot over the commercial break." Moore: "I keep coming back here to NBC, and I keep wondering why the stagehands and these guys don't have health insurance that's provided by the company. They're still freelancers and they've worked here for like fifteen years."

3. NABET offers health care through the union for the freelancers

I used to get mine through the Flex Plan when I worked for them.

NBC has whittled down its full time personnel and instead relies mainly on its freelance pools. Most companies do not provide health care for part time or non-staff personnel.

Stagehands and camera people by and large are union. The concern should be on those who are working with computerized equipment (non linear editing systems, for instance) that the union didn't retain jurisdiction over back in the late 80's. They are the ones who are left out of coverage because they are not made to join the unions.

Its very cool how he doesn't hard sell his current movie, he just speaks about current national issues.
I have never heard Michael Moore say anything I can disagree with. Very honest, straight forward and he makes fun of himself.

I hope he is watching his health for us.
