1. At first, I thought, "OK, redeemed."

Then I thought, "Wait a minute. It took this guy 3 months to figure out whose side he was on?"

2. he is definitely a pro-life person...but he knew he had to move forward, and

"sending the bill to committee" would effectively kill it. And so he took a very progressive viewpoint on this, and defended the women and children (born and unborn) whose lives would have been in jeopardy if we didn't pass healthcare.

This was his finest moment, and I am so proud he did this.

Took long enough, but you know what? Like Josh Marshall wrote today, results are all that matter.
