Beck was not really "for" legalization any more than he is for a second Obama term! His entire subtext was that Obama is wrong for not enforcing existing marijuana laws.

I personally believe that this nation needs to do many, many things - ending marijuana laws is among them - but I don't believe for one second that Glenn Beck is advocating for ANY of the truly necessary things!!

I've seen Neo-Nazis who don't mind legalization.

I've known many conservatives who don't mind legalization, and liberals who advocate stricter penalties against drug use.

As paulsby said, legalization is not a left-right issue. If Beck ever wanted to turn this into something larger on his part then it'd be little different than Pat Buchanan "defending" (white) workers from "illegal immigrants" or Ron Paul "supporting" the anti-war movement (while talking about how the US could easily take out Venezuela in a war).
