43. My word, there's some serious projection and cognitive dissonance in those replies!
At least the embedded vids help raise the viewing numbers and attract wingnut trolls for some re-education by the TYT army, I suppose.

Slightly OT but related to my comment, I think the new YouTube comments layout sucks. You can't see the ratings for comments very easily and it's impossible to see the replies to individual comments in context.

I think they're scared of TYT.

Cenk has continuously pummelled them and there's been nary a response. I could be wrong, but I have yet to hear BecKKK react to one of Cenk's multiple Pwnages, for example.

Limbaugh hasn't responded to them, either.

I've kind of been looking forward to a war between TYT and Faux or Limbaugh, it's obvious who'd come out on top.

Without the hoods and robes. I feel more irrational hatred of the Republican party with every passing Tea party protest. Effing social security medicare pensioners out on a free Koch brothers corporate astroturf bus ride around the country. Where do you think they find all these fat, old, white, horse's asses. Don't they have jobs? But noooo. They are fat. They are old. They are white. They are on Medicaid and Social Security looking for a free vacation to see the country. They don't have jobs, They are on the government dole. Fat, toothless, old white, droolers. Wonder if free depends and tubes of Preparation H, are part of the tour package?

he's in the Memphis area. My rep here in the Peoples Republic of Nashville and Davidson Co. is Jim Cooper. He's also a Dem, but he's not as outspoken as Cohen. I wish Cohen would run for Senate. He actually introduced a medical marijuana bill when he was in the State house. Seems to be a good guy and a REAL Democrat.

27. My rep is retiring
I'd give him a C+. (Vic Snyder) I like that he voted against the war and I'm pretty sure he was the only House rep for the state of AR to vote FOR the health care bill.

The one woman I want to win his seat has a sucky campaign site. I've donated to her campaign and I plan to vote for her in the primary but I feel with this tea nuttery going on her chances are somewhat sucky.

She's VERY liberal but she hasn't taken any stands on any issues, at least not on her website.

If you have some time, you can look her up if you want. Her name is Joyce Elliot.

38. Ahh okay. I looked up NFM on the glossary and didn't see it
For the most part, Little Rock/NLR is fairly liberal.

At the same time, the local news covers the tea party. It would be nice to see the breakdown on WHERE these tea party people live.

Central AR (Little Rock/NLR/Pulaski County) went for Obama, voted heavily against Initiated Act 1 ( a ban on unmarried people from adopting and fostering foster children) and the gay marriage ban.

Ms. Elliot BTW is labor friendly and GLBT friendly which is good in my book.
I suspect she's a single-payer supporter but she doesn't come right out and say it.

It ought to be an interesting race next fall. Our black ex-mayor is running against him..........we'll see what happens in the primary. The ex-mayor, Willie Herenton, is a piece of work--paranoid, being investigated for corruption, etc. Thank God he is not our mayor any more. He needs to retire from politics completely. But, he has a chance of beating Cohen.

11. Oh so they wave their guns and scream -kill kill
put a target on them, reload. And when someone complains they are out of control and dangerous they get angry? I am really scared that this country is involving into what happened in Nazi Germany. The white supremacist have always had this type of mentality, but they were not as embolden as they have become now, with the militia groups etc. But they tea bags, average or suppose to be average Americans who urge killing and violence, this is unheard of. And until the authorities start to reign them in and let them know that threatening to kill, causing riots and such is not acceptable they will continue to do so.

I am sick of the law enforcement agencies we have now, they are as chicken s**t at they come. What are they afraid of.

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't start rounding up liberals for torture and murder in secret prisons if one of the crazies actually became president. I know it sounds extreme, but it happens in other countries around the world all the time, and usually with help from the U.S. We're not exempt.

25. One Freeper makes a good case
over Cohen's credentials:

Prior to his election to the House in November 2006, Cohen was a Tennessee State Senator for 24 years. He is Tennessee’s first Jewish congressman. Cohen is one of only two non-blacks representing majority black districts in Congress

Cohen told reporters that he would seek to become the first white member of the Congressional Black Caucus, but later decided against attempting to join after members of the CBC (influenced by co-founder Bill Clay) indicated that they would not allow a non-black to join

On February 27, 2007, Cohen introduced a resolution in the House that apologizes for African-American slavery and the system of Jim Crow laws that persisted for 100 years after the abolition of slavery.

In March 2005, Cohen was one of three Tennessee Senators to vote against the Tennessee Marriage Protection Amendment, which Tennessee voters approved via a referendum in November 2006

Cohen is a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. He is the most liberal member of the Tennessee congressional delegation, as well as one of the most liberal members ever to represent the state in Congress.

He is known for his staunch support for environmental protection, opposition to George W. Bush and John McCain over the War in Iraq, and support for a woman’s right to an abortion. To expand funds available for research and development of alternative energy sources, Cohen supports the imposition of an excess profits tax on oil companies.

Cohen has said that he believes that adequate health care is a “fundamental right” of all citizens. Cohen supports gender equality, progressive taxation, medicinal use of marijuana, gun rights and capital punishment. Cohen was the headline speaker at the Marijuana Policy Project’s January 2010 annual gala in Washington.

44. When someone is brainwashed they hate without reason.
Those who have listened to Rush or Limbaugh or Fox slanted broadcasts are sadly being used by the Republicans and by the uber wealthy heartless class to dismiss logic and history to try to usurp power. The fear and hate that is pushed into their minds, pushes out the ideals of equality and respect that each individual is guaranteed in our national creed of Common good.

This respect for the common person and their right to live in accord with the democratically derived law and the study of historically sound judgment has brought our country to greatness.

It was not the unrestrained businessmen who led us through the roughest times.

It was the man or woman who gave great consideration to the everyman and how to better his life.
When we lose sight of the real truth that we, as a country, have struggled to uphold, and give greed and irresponsible selfcenteredness free reign, we are no longer a country of which to be proud.

It is the crude and fearful single-mindedness of these Tea-Baggers who have forgotten our best ideals: which are to accept and support the weakest among us and to believe in those who are different but not lesser than ourselves.

The dream of this country depends on the conscience and actions of the Liberal as well as the honest earnings of reasonable Conservative production for profit or not. The rich who rise to wealth dishonestly should not be worshiped, but their wealth should be expected to do good for others. In that they should be praised.

As John F Kennedy is proud to call himself a Liberal, so am I.

What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then ... we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."

48. Difference between "us vs "them"
Reading posts on various conservative blogs it becomes obvious with the outright hatred and vicious attacks toward "libtards". You can almost see the poster's face as he writes the message all bug eyed, red faced, with steam blowing out their ears and all. Hatred. Pure hatred toward libtards. No wonder violence follows them at their rally's. While here and other progressive blogs its more of a roll of the eyes, shake of the head disbelief at the stupidity and ignorance of the low information racists.

They were fired at Dr. Tiller, at the congregation of the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation, at a security guard in the Holocaust Museum, at cops coming to the door in a Pittsburgh suburb; they were fired when a right-wing terrorist flew his plane into a building in Austin, Texas and when bricks were put through windows in local Democratic Party offices around the country.

Watch.Your.Back.
