11. A Great Tradition

Lewis Black is a social critic, like all the greats. He's not really 'on' in this segment, but so what? He's always got something to say and is now starting to look like a Jewish Gore Vidal.

I saw him on his "Me Of Little Faith" book tour, and he was outstanding - spoke at length about his discovery of 1) money and 2) the tax-avoidance industry. "So some guy who gets $10 million a year and pays 70% in taxes - are you telling me you can't get by on $3 mil this year? Just can't make it work, at all???" Big laughs.

WTF with that Kelsey Grammer promo, anyway? I want desperately not to believe it, but this country is 198% fcked. Whether it's teabaggers going Nazi or the Chinese hanging a 'pay or quit' notice on the Golden Gate Bridge, we're done. Finished.
