From TPM:

The Goldman Sachs executives testifying before a Senate governmental affairs subcommittee Tuesday have dawdled, dodged and diverted their way through a hearing on Goldman's role in the financial crisis.

They asked for questions to be rephrased and clarified. They squinted and paged through thick notebooks, "searching" for emails printouts they were being asked about. They often appeared confused, bewildered.

"I cannot help but get the feeling that a strategy of the witnesses is to try to burn through the time of each questioner," said Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME).

As it turns out, this actually may be their official strategy.

1. Masters of the Universe.
Nothing will happen to them.

They'll probably get billions in bonus bucks for having to show up for irritating senate hearings.

3. Perhaps . .
Maybe Collins will see this for what it is and end up voting to break a filibuster.

6. Systematic, tactical arrogance.
I hope Congress imposes draconian restrictions on these Goldman Sachs guys. They answer to no higher authority.

Remember how Blankfein was quoted as saying he was doing "God's work." I believe he meant that he thinks he is God at work.

These guys need to be cut down to size, quickly and totally.

7. The question I'm dying to hear:
"Are you guys- who are in charge of running a 'too-big-to-fail' financial services giant- really this stupid and disorganized?"

Not that it would accomplish anything. Everybody knows they're not this stupid- I'd just like to hear it said.

8. I will only be satisfied when I see them brought to trial for fraud.
These assholes are crooks, period. They sold these derivatives knowing full well that the loans had not been properly investigated. The are exactly what Professor Black calls them, Liar Loans and not worth the paper that they are written on. I hope that the Obama administration doesn't let these Republican bastards get off scot free.

9. They must have received their education at the Univ. of I Don't Know.
And took their legal classes at the Alberto Gonzales School of Law.
