It's kind of hard to be against schooling (unless you are a libertarian extremist), but standardized tests have gone completely out of control.

I agree with every single word this young woman said. I am disgusted by the system that I am a part of and work hard to make my classes something different than what the students are used to, and they appreciate it. In my class, they are free to be individuals. I welcome questions, criticism and suggestions. As a result, I learn as much from my students as they learn from me, and we all leave better people for the experience.

I have 19 years in the system and find it so hard to continue to try to fight it from within...Public education should be available to all, but this system needs major overhauling...actually the whole system in this country needs overhauling! The public education system is designed to maintain the corporate paradigm...
