I read the first two chapters on my Kindle for free. The cover I used was something I downloaded and printed up.

Worse than the book it attempts to discredit (I say that not having actually read any more of the book than short excerpts online) -- but really cruddy political comedy. None of the authors of this video are going to get a job with Stewart or Colbert any time soon.

16. Political comedy that's incompetent, unfunny, and actually sends the wrong message . . .

About progressive issues and how progressives oppose regressive thinking as exemplified by Glenn Beck is not only not helpful, it's actively unhelpful.

More unhelpful than the latest moronic blatheration by Beck, which by definition only adds to the blatheration pile.

That's how a cruddy video can be worse than a book I haven't read.

Admittedly, this video is unlikely to go viral and be noticed, so its capacity to do harm is probably limited. Doesn't mean we should praise lame efforts merely because the producers' hearts are in the right place.

Nice to know you're on the job letting people know when to laugh. I guess Sarah Palin and Dr. Laura are out of bounds too. And George W. Bush. And everyone on the right. In fact, we should probably stop laughing at everything except knock-knock jokes. Political satire is probably too dangerous for anyone who doesn't work for Big Media to even touch. Just let Jay Leno handle it for us.

I think it comes down to style. Not every opinion/assessment/judgement/evaluation needs to be prefaced with "IMO" to be civil.

How people could waste their time creating this absurd video is beyond me.

The ecosystem is going off a cliff and global warming has passed all the tipping points and is racing along faster than all the climate models. Our planet is a car that has already gone off a cliff and we're just waiting to hit bottom

But while that's going on we waste our time on petty nonsense and this too is an example of that.

Man, if our side doesn't have a TOTAL COMPULSION about shooting with blanks. Like the lame Democratic response to the GOP's constant attacks and the failure to forcefully respond and attack back. We are a party of total wimps whistling in the graveyard while the GOP rushes to take over Capitol Hill.
