Nita Hanson refuses to accept Dr. Laura's apology.

She stated:

"It's more than just he n-word. Dr. Laura acted as if I tried to set her up.

And that's not what happened. I called her for advice. I didn't try to set

this woman up."

It always used to amaze me that people would call in telling her how great she is and then be shocked when she berates them for something or another.

Schlessinger is an insensitive nut with a nice radio voice, I guess thats all it takes to be successful. Someone calls in with that type of issue and her solution is to "desensitize" them by saying offensive shit to them? Utterly absurd.

all she is doing is looking for justification of her lousy behavior.

This whole thing about "1st Amendment rights" is a red herring, she has used the airwaves for many a year and she thought she was invulnerable. Most people don't really understand the 1st Amendment applies to federal and state issues, not private issues. It is protection from abusive government, not a free "Get Out Of Jail" card. Depending on circumstances, it has expanded it's way to commercial and private discussion; but technically, there is no protection from individuals, that is why we have slander laws on the books.
