They aren't getting a pass due to their ideology. They have greased the palms of the right people. They have bought their way. Bought their way with MIC blood money.

3. One More Time

Reagan had his FCC commissioner kill the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. This rule kept our media honest and kept Americans the "best informed citizens in the world" from the beginning of radio through the advent and explosion of TV. The FAIRNESS DOCTRINE forced "News" programs to give facts and label all opinions. It forced them to give free air time to people with different points of view.
If President Obama would REINSTATE THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE, our citizens would, once again, be among the best informed populace in the world.
How can Obama complain about Fox TeeVee, yet, not regulate all "News" programs with a time proven rule?
"They" do not want Americans to be informed of national and world events.
Most 3rd world countries have more honest "reporting" than any (especially Fox News) American News program.
A few years ago, some ex-Fox employees sued Fox because they forced them to lie and omit their investigative reporting.
The Florida Supreme Court, ruled that "News" programs were not legally required to be honest.
