The debt commission is a vulgar farce and Obama's refusal to jettison the classist asshole Simpson says a lot about where the WH is headed with this. Too bad Simpson isn't a liberal; he'd be gone by now. Obama will probably end up caving - again - to the Rs for no good reason (save for lots and lots of corporate money flowing into DLC coffers).
