i remember watching my first ep on PBS - was Tom Baker in "Terror of the Zygons". Not the best introduction to the Whoverse, but pretty good for an 8 year old who had been stuck watching Knight Rider reruns. They finally went back to the start of Jon Pertwee's era and showed through Peter Davidson. As a Who fan I caught up and am digging the new series but miss the old 4 part format which let you get to know the guest stars better. Still, great show, not sold on Matt Smith as The Doctor yet, and really missing Tennant. Oh, did you hear they are splitting up next years eps. Season six will only have 7 eps - I kid you not, and Season seven will have only 6. On the bright side all eps will air next year - 7 in spring, 6 in fall. Bah.

34. I think Eccleston did a good job, he was a "touch and go" Dr. ...

he had that "in your face" attitude. And of course, he brought in Rose Tyler. Tennant brought in a more human Dr., and a host of great companions. The series closer was excellent, they did an excellent job of pulling all of the strings together and after 5 seasons, we really needed that. Smith is an interesting Dr. as he is becoming far more human than his 2 predecessors, plenty of opportunities to for him to do a good job as he gets his footing.

The chemistry between Tennant and Piper is always going to be a difficult thing to breach, they worked very well together.

and after him until recently. I used to watch the Baker episodes dubbed in Spanish.
I caught a David Tennant episode last year. Needless to say I got hooked and had to go back to watch all the way back to season 1 of the new series.

Funny you say that about the new guy. I saw a photo of him online which said something like "From Doctor Who to Doctor Why?". I don't think he's bad he just has huge shoes to fill.

I watched the interviews from New Left Media at the Beckapalooza event last night and was overcome by despair at the tragic state of disinformation that so many people in America have fallen prey to...its tragic that millions of Americans have gone from being simply "low-information voters" to "no information voters". Makes me truly sad for the future of this country.

What Fox does is nothing short of a constant broadcast of propaganda from morning to night. They used to try to sell the BS that their evening shows were opinion shows but their rest of the day was "news"...yeah, right. There was not one iota of "news" in the 96 seconds of that clip that I could stomach, and I would be willing to bet the lives of my children that it did not magically get better right after I stopped watching it...

The glass table and every woman wearing short skirts and showing plenty of leg? That's "news"? Or could it be selling sexual innuendo? I am reminded of the old joke - "Madam, we have already established WHAT you are, we are now haggling over price..."

They can tell themselves whatever they want to get through the night and sleep soundly; but make no mistake, trading solely on sexual titillation and appearance is akin to the "oldest profession". Crowley is already living on borrowed time and Kelly's expiration date is coming up fast as well....Mr. Murdouch likes his eye candy to appear no older than 25 and these two no longer pass muster anyway...cue the next bubble-headed bleach blonde to read party directives...
