I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

If you live in PA, please check out Health Care for All Pennsylvania, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit whose purpose it is to see that the "Family and Business Healthcare Security Act" becomes the law of Pennsylvania so that ALL of PA citizens are guaranteed quality, comprehensive, affordable, single-payer medical care.

1. Ernestine is great
Told the truth too many times to remain popular with the PTB.

2. I adore Lily Tomlin. Such a great comic, and a good actress as well.
She, Jane Fonda, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman were hilarious in Nine to Five. That's one of my favorite "feel good" movies of all time. It's as funny today as it was in 1980, and it's hilarious to think that the offices were state of the art at the time.

I remember my office had the same telephones and typewriters as the ones in the movie.

Lily Tomlin is a true gift to us all.

4. That was a wonderful movie
I remember laughing hysterically when I first saw it. And I developed a crush on Dolly Parton.

3. Since I'm crowding 60 . . .
I remember LT's spots on Laugh In as telephone operator named Ernestine whose job it was to make the customer miserable on behalf of the phone company. I thought of Ernestine whenever I read or heard about a health insurance company giving one of their members the run around over a claim (which was often and remains so).
