7. Simple

If there's an Olbermann video it's labeled with Countdown or Olbermann. A Maddow video as Rachel/Maddow, etc. This video would normally have Cenk/TYT/Young Turks in the title.

It makes sense because fans of these shows seek out the content and people who don't like the shows are able to avoid it (in other words it's a win-win for everyone). Not including this information at DU (a place where videos from all over the place are posted) is like removing caller ID from a phone or a cable/TV guide from a television.

Then there's the fact that some people think Jane Hamsher is the devil because of her criticism (from the left) of the president and Democrats on some issues and or her methods. Those people generally also think Cenk is the devil because he is critical of both parties. So this particular video title screams out to that crowd to come and rip Hamsher, Cenk, etc.

Please, enlighten us on this "fact"! I've been a member of DU for years, and was one for long before I moved out to LA to work for TYT (something I've been very public about, unlike others who refuse to answer questions about who they work for).

I was a huge fan of the show which is why I started posting videos on DU. I continue to post videos because I enjoy the content and it's relevant to the political forum.

PS---Skim the video section right now and what do you see? Olbermann, Maddow, Bill Maher (etc.) in the titles. It's common video posting etiquette. Either that or people are paid to post MSNBC/HBO videos (that was a joke).

19. I love how I've been incredibly transparent the entire time but you're still trying

to make it seem like there's some sort of "gotcha". I announced it on DU when I was hired! I put in my public profile! I regularly refer to "our show" and use phrases along those lines.

Videos of me co-hosting the show have been posted (one by me recently). But guess what? Cenk didn't have me move to Los Angeles to post videos on DU (which I was doing anyway for years BEFORE I was hired to be the Director of New Media, because I was/am a fan).

What this really comes down to is the fact that you despise the show (you've been open about that), which would be fine except when it's expressed in the form of unrelated personal attacks. Feel free to address and refute the substance of TYT clips, but don't feel free to throw around BS accusations and smears.

I'll respectfully leave it at that.

At the end of the day we both want what's best for the country and the Democratic Party (as does Cenk), we just (in some cases strongly) disagree on the way to get there. I know, you find that hard to believe but it's the truth.

People who detract her love to do so on the basis that she supposedly "helps the GOP win" (personally, I think the Democrats who write and pass a stupid health care bill, tell people it will lower premiums, and a few months later watch Aetna and Cigna jack premiums up another 20% and write sternly worded letters to them are a little more responsible for their dire straights) but never really address the substance of her arguments. The bill is garbage. It didn't need to be garbage if the President had ever exhibited any leadership, but he didn't. How do you defend legally requiring people to buy health insurance from a for-profit oligopoly with an antitrust exemption? You can't, because it doesn't even begin to address the problem - private, for-profit insurance.

Personally, I'm glad there are people pointing out that the Democrats pass garbage and why it won't work, because if there were only cheerleaders who dutifully line up behind the party line, there'd be no hope at all that Democrats would ever, ever change.

change. I think the public option canard was cruel in the sense people were led to believe that it was one of the goals or cornerstones of reform.
