Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to for-profit anything in particular, but just as the entire Bush presidency was devoted to chanelling funds to Bush buddies in the guise of "Conservatism," the post-Bush 'Lican establishment is devoted to dismantling government oversight entirely, so the few crumbs left in the cupboard can be Hoovered up by the usual suspects, and should recovery take hold, to ensure that they get the lion's share of the goodies then, too.

They're too focused on hosing themselves down with dollars to realize that they're quite likely to wreck the country in the process, but the long view has never been a particular strength of kleptocrats.
