If King is so damn concerned about wages of agricultural workers, why doesn't he write a bill to require they all receive at least the federal minimum wage, and then maybe support a healthy increase in the minimum wage, period? Oh snap, he won't do either of those things. Conservatives don't give a damn to see wages rise, but they do like to concern-troll over immigration's effect on wages so as to snag a few more votes on election day.

They do. We understand that farm workers do not have the benefit of our most basic labor laws and that is why many americans do not take these jobs. It is not hard work we are afraid of it is unsafe work with poverty wages. Colbert pointed out what most union workers and activist have know for a very long time in regards to farm labor.

Ok, to prove your an expert on this subject, you and all of the republicans resign, and go work on farms. Its not that low, You'd be doing this if you weren't a politician.

7. I wa pretty annoyed by Colbert going on in character. This isn't Iron Man 2.

If you are given this chance take it seriously. Colbert was out of line. I hate Repubs but I won't defend the other side when wrong.

11. He didn't have a point in the beginning.

He turned it into a comedy skit and didn't take the matter seriously while he was given the forum to do that. I mean you could have loved it. But I felt it wouldn't have given it the magnitude it needed. Especially as his actions will dissuade Congress from allowing other people who may have a good cause to be lost because of Colbert.

He saw this as something serious which was seen at the end of the skit----not in the beginning. You may have loved it. But the issue itself was far from a laughing matter and this is what it will be viewed at---after his actions. But keep loving it, you're happy with it, as is.

16. Sorry if you missed the point at the end. The rest you seem to have made up to

justify your position. Or you would like the point to be made at the beginning so you didn't have to think about the truth that there is in his humor.

I never claimed I "loved it", (So, once again, this time, you falsely accused me, I'm not surprised). I said it had the power of humor and truth, put together, a mighty good combination.

Personally I wish if he was doing it in character, he should have gone ALL THE WAY

Done a Lou Dobbs on steroids. The whole point of his show is to mock the right by exaggerating their unsupportable positions. Instead he kind of waffled between his character and his own personal positions. He tried to make his character more likable. That was a mistake. I would have preferred he acted like he did at the Washington press dinner a few years ago, and go for the jugular, by mocking FAUX commentators by one upping them with over the top reactionary statements.
