He Knows Better.

Olbermann was suspended indefinitely because he is in violation of NBC News ethics policy.

He has mentioned such restrictions before and stated that he understood why such regulations were in place.

4. say werd!
Not at all. If one signs a contract that means there will be certain restriction, conditions and prerequisites. It's all part of the deal. No news organization or major broadcasters should be able to influnce a political affilation in any way, ever. It is an absolute conflict of intrest. Kieth can be the most useful by continuing to report facts.

I hope he is put back on the air as soon as possible but that is just how I feel, that doesn't mean Mr. Olberman is not responsible for his actions.

9. NBC policy does not prohibit employees from donating to political candidates
-- but MSNBC president Phil Griffin is miffed that Keith didn't get "prior approval' first. Meanwhile, Republicans Joe Scarborough and Pat Buchanan also gave political contributions -- but are not suspended. We've had enough insanity this week -- we don't need more because Phil Griffin's feelings are hurt.

11. Work Contract vs. Constitution
Are you suggesting that if you work for an employer that has different view's than you...You cannot exercise your right as an USA citizen to contribute to a cause or charity or political leaning of your personal choice?

8. He does have the right to contribute political campaigns under
his contract if he notifies MSNBC that he is doing do; an attempt to be truly fair and balanced. Fox news scabbies have no obligation to notify their employer if they donate. That is why Fox scabbies are so blattantly pro-right. There is no attempt at all by Fox to be 'fair and balanced'.

2. NO, it was not!

If it was so wrong for him to contribute to politicians, NOT IN HIS DISTRICT, it is worse for Fox to host CANDIDATES, like Huckleberry (I mean Huckabee), and Caribou Barbie. It is also worse for Fox to host known leaders of PACS, like Turd Blossom (aka Karl Rove).

If Keith was wrong, and should be suspended, Fox is more wrong, and should be suspended PERMANENTLY from the cable airwaves, as well as broadcast and print media.

10. He can contribute to any poltical campaign ; he is required to
notify his employer if he is doing so; apparently he failed to do so. Fox employees are not required to notify the powers that be.

3. Seems to be argument he was not under obligation to NBC News ethics policy.
And you know better. This stinks to high heaven. Suspicious timing, public flogging, draconian punishment.

It's bullshit.
