Summary: Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks) on MSNBC Live explaining why it makes no sense for president Obama to think the GOP will compromise.

2. not compromising has worked brilliantly for republicans so far, why should they stop now?
until democrats figure out how to counter effectively, they'll just keep doing what works for them.

9. The DLC crowd at the White House still hasn't learned its lesson from the midterms.

Looks like they never will.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result."

---- Einstein

Looks like it's up to the netroots and progressive shows to carry the torch because the White House can't figure out how to find the West Wing washroom.

This is probably why MSNBC is going after Keith Olbermann.

Suspending him "indefinitely" was a trial balloon to see if they can make it permanent. With him and other progressives too. I predict that the WH will do nothing to save Keith and that the bloodbath will continue with other people being targeted too.

Doesn't look like others are fighting for Keith that much either.

If Glenn Beck were suspended there would be thousands in the streets.

But our side is busy taking our prozac and attacking anyone who doesn't repeat, "We're fine!"

12. Why would the White House
"do anything" to "save" Keith? How is it the POTUS' responsible for protecting a journalist? Olbermann has to "save" himself. And I'm a big KO fan.

11. I'm afraid Obama is beginning to remind me of British LibDem leader Nick Clegg ...
... who, having campaigned for a radical and liberal set of policies, then joined in coalition with the right-wing conservatives and threw all of those policies out in order to save his own neck.

He will be richly punished by the electorate next time round ... and so, I fear, will Obama unless he grows a pair.
