1. Feith is one of the major villains of this story

The Office of Special Plans was constituted to put forward alternative intelligence. While Mr. Tenet is no hero among the Bushy administration's den of liars and thieves, he is a master spy and knows how intelligence works. He has some authority to call Feith's intelligence reports "crap." They were, really, nothing more than propaganda pieces for an administration that had decided to go war and then, after the fact, fixed "facts" to fit the policy. The Bushies, including Feith, were gambling that Saddam had weapons at best and knowingly lying about it at worst. Even in the milder accusation, they were lying when they repeated over and over again that it was a certain fact that he had biochemical weapons and was developing a nuclear bomb. They knew no such thing for certain.

The proper place for Mr. Feith and his superiors at the Pentagon and in the White House to tell their story is not in a book, but before an internatio0nal tribunal for war crimes in Iraq. Humanity should not have to wait as long as it has for justice.
